Innovating how we bring knowledge to the client, Faithful+Gould delights in its success at the 2017 awards.

Faithful+Gould's leading edge new course “Principal Designer and Design Risk Management” has been awarded highly commended in the category of "Safety Innovation" at the Association of Project Safety 2017 Awards.

The course, focusing on the CDM 2015 Regulations and new Dutyholder responsibilities, was launched in our Birmingham office in April 2017.  The awards, hosted by BBC News presenter Samantha Simmonds, took place at the prestigious grade II listed venue, Gibson Hall in Bishopsgate, London on the 19 October, and the Faithful+Gould entry came up against some stiff competition from Anglian Water Services, Ballymore/Hurks and winners Skinners Design Ltd.

Prior to the awards ceremony the shortlisted organisations went to a House of Commons reception where the host Roberta Blackman-Woods, who is the government lead on Universities, acknowledged attendees positive contribution, through the vehicle of health & safety, towards the future of design and construction in the UK.

Nattasha Freeman, Faithful+Gould health & safety consultant and one of the authors of the course, said:

"I'm really delighted that the hard work of the F+G health & safety team has been recognised.  What began as a response to Clients who were asking for a course which did more than touch on awareness, has now become not only an IOSH approved course on the subject, but it has now been recognised by one of the most influential professional bodies in the health & safety arena.

I believe that the legislation change provides Clients with an opportunity to raise the bar in construction service provision by raising the standards of delivery from contractors and designers: as leaders they can use the design process to reduce risk and promote sensible safety and practical solutions."

Faithful+Gould submitted the entry as this is the only IOSH approved course in the market.  Further courses are scheduled across the UK, if you are interested in finding out more please contact Paul Whitney via his profile below, or visit our events page
