Sandra Cummings is celebrating after winning the coveted title of Young Project Manager of the Year in this year's APM Project Management Awards.

Sandra, 29, has been with Faithful+Gould since August 2002 and is based in the company’s Edinburgh office. She received her award at the high profile APM Awards Dinner at The Savoy in London.

Judges named Sandra Young Project Manager of the Year in recognition of her drive, enthusiasm and commitment in delivering major projects successfully.

In particular, in the last 12 months Sandra has played a key part in project managing the closing stages of the prestigious new campus project for Edinburgh’s Telford College. The project is Scotland’s first new build further education college for 30 years. Sandra has been involved in project managing the delivery of four new special school projects for the City of Edinburgh Council.

Gordon McDonald, national head of project management said: "This was a much-deserved win that recognises the intelligent, professional and committed approach that Sandra takes to her work. We are all very pleased for her and will continue to support and encourage her as she tackles new challenges and further develops her career."

Sandra's success comes just a week after Faithful+Gould was voted Project Manager of the Year in the national Builder & Engineer magazine awards.
