The future looks bright for Stoke. Growth and regeneration is set to continue and many companies are committed to attracting high calibre individuals to drive their business forward.
One company that has invested in its workforce is project and cost management consultancy, Faithful+Gould, which has appointed three new recruits to the team; Darren Baker, David Price and Darren Ghaffoori.
Darren Baker has joined as an associate director and will be head of project management, David Price has joined as a quantity surveyor and Darren Ghaffoori as a CDM (health and safety) co-ordinator.
All three have great experience in their profession, and are bringing a wealth of skills to the company as well as the area.
Darren Baker comments: "I'm excited to be working for such a well established organisation. Stoke is a great city to live and work in and I would like to see it achieve the regeneration that cities such as Manchester and Birmingham have seen. This regeneration process can only be achieved by encouraging internal growth in Stoke and also attracting large scale external investment."
David says: "Stoke is often overlooked because of its close proximity to Birmingham, but it has many benefits in its own right. Any redevelopment should be undertaken carefully, retaining only heritage sites worth preserving and redeveloping into the new city centre.
"There also has to be a strong emphasis on job creation as well as mixed residential, recreational and retailing. With its strong communication links and plenty of green space, Stoke has the potential to rival some of its larger neighbours."
Darren Ghaffoori continues: "There is a diverse and challenging range of clients at Faithful+Gould’s Stoke office which I am looking forward to working with. My position also strengthens our ability to offer CDM co-ordination in the area, which is a key part of project management."
