A leading figure in the North East housing sector has joined the Newcastle office of international project management and cost consultants Faithful+Gould.
Colin Garbutt joins Faithful+Gould as an Executive Consultant with responsibility for developing its affordable housing sector portfolio.
Colin brings to the role over 35 years of experience gained in the management and delivery of social housing schemes. He has also been responsible for a number of high profile estate and area regeneration projects, all of which have had liaison with residents at the heart of their strategy. Of particular significance to his new post is his dedication to the principles of tenant empowerment, satisfaction and consultancy as well as his ability to build personal relationships whilst developing participation policies.

Having spent the past two years as a Housing and Regeneration Consultant with another practice, Colin has been heavily involved in the strategic master planning for cities such as Glasgow and Sheffield. In addition to his professional commitments, he was formerly the Regional Chair of the National Housing Federation and is a past Chairman of the Northern Counties Branch of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
