Due to a string of project wins and experiencing an ever increasing demand for its surveying services, Faithful+Gould's northern region is continuing to invest in promising new talent with the appointment of three people.

Graeme Race has taken up the position of building surveyor with additional assistant project manager responsibilities. Based in the Newcastle office, Graeme will be putting to use his six years’ experience to work between the building surveying and project management teams providing support to a wide variety of Faithful+Gould's clients.

Through Faithful+Gould’s graduate scheme, Graeme was attracted to the company due to its excellent reputation in the industry and because he is keen to gain experience on the many high profile projects it is involved in.

Graeme said: "I'm very excited to be working with Faithful+Gould as its wide ranging client base is sure to provide a varied work schedule that will further develop my experience within the industry. I also look forward to further continuing my studies towards my APC in order to gain Chartered status.

"One of the main attractions of this post was the opportunity to get involved in major projects both locally and nationally, which together with an impressive benefits package and a supported career development and training programme, reinforces Faithful+Gould as an employer of choice."

Also part of the graduate team, William Lau boosts the Newcastle office with his international surveying experience gained in Australia and China in both the client sector and business industry.

Attracted to Faithful+Gould by its international recognition for being able to provide the full package of services to clients and its excellent career development opportunities, William is currently working with local authorities to survey housing stock for their regeneration schemes while being sponsored towards his RICS and APC qualifications.

Iftekar Alom completes the trio of talented new surveyors by joining Faithful+Gould’s Stockton office as a quantity surveyor. He will be responsible for the preparation of tender documents, development of cost reports and variation costs and agreeing final accounts.

Working on Newcastle’s prestigious £34 Million Excelsior Academy - which will replace the existing Westgate Community College, making it one of the largest in the city - Iftekar is already gaining a valuable mix of practical and theoretical experience which he hopes will help him achieve his goal of reaching senior status within Faithful+Gould.

Viewing Faithful+Gould as the best quantity surveying consultancy in the industry, Iftekar is looking forward to developing his analytical, negotiation, communication skills as well as improving his legal knowledge.

George Murray, managing director for the north of the UK and Ireland, said:

"Faithful+Gould is always looking for promising new talent, skills, experience and determination. Graeme, Iftekar and William will grow with their new roles, which makes them perfect candidates to join our team.

"As an organisation committed to continuous professional development at all levels of the company, Faithful+Gould is supporting promising staff like our new recruits in gaining Chartered and APC status. I hope that they find working with us to be a stimulating, challenging and rewarding experience."
