As part of the national 704SE7ENTY campaign, the Central Region team, led by Regional Managing Director, John Rayson, took on the Yorkshire stage of the Tour de France. They started their two day cycle at the New Inn in Eccup, completing 1638 miles between them through the breath-taking Yorkshire countryside, before finishing back up at the New Inn.
“We had a fantastic time on the ride,” says Kieran McManamon, Director. “It was hard work, especially on the difficult climb on Buttertubs Pass but we managed to complete the full route over two days. It is fair to say we’re not quite yet at the standard of Chris Froome but our group of mixed abilities and ages showed brilliant team work and cross region spirit. A big thank you must go to Princes who donated over 400 bottles of water to keep us hydrated over the weekend.”
