Britain has the fastest growing railway in Europe but there is widespread uncertainty surrounding the progress of strategies and funding to meet the growth. The Future of UK Rail conference will investigate Government policy for the railways including spending and investment plans.

"Assessing High Speed Rail and the Potential for Maglev in the UK"
The seminar will:
- Address feedback from recent reports: How are high speed rail projects currently working, and what is their future?
- Explain how new technologies can improve the UK rail network: the potential for Maglev
- Discuss lessons from European high speed rail schemes, and comparisons of Maglev with TGV
- Evaluate the feasibility of Maglev in the UK in terms of investment, funding and logistics
