Project and cost management consultant Faithful+Gould has been appointed to provide quantity surveying services for the University of Bristol as part of its planned £250 million capital programme.
The Bristol office of Faithful+Gould has a strong education team and is already engaged on several schemes at the university, including a major refurbishment of the HH Wills Physics Building.
"The quantity surveying team has developed a close working relationship with the university project office and will integrate closely with the selected project design teams over this period of time," said Chris Rogers.
"The framework will enable us to further use our specialist expertise to benefit what is a very prominent institution within Bristol. We are already working on various feasibility studies for refurbishment projects on the main city centre site and the Langford veterinary school.
"Recently we have tendered the first phase Level 2 Physics Laboratories as part of the planned £30m development of the HH Wills Building. That work is due to start on site later this year. Other projects include the new High Performance Computing suite, new entrances to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences & Law buildings plus a new Equine Surgery facility".
The building redevelopment and refurbishment project being carried out by university leaders is aimed at enhancing its reputation as a leading educational establishment, and making premises more accessible to the residents of Bristol.
