A new website, launched by project and cost consultants Faithful+Gould, provides information on construction projects around the world and offers the ability for potential recruits to review job details and apply for positions on line. The site also matches the highest standards of accessibility.
Located at www.fgould.com, it includes a searchable database of major developments in the transport, property and industry sectors for which the consultancy has provided advisory services. It is also designed as a ready reference to the services provided by the company, searchable by industry, sector, service type and location. The site incorporates a dedicated client portal (accessible to registered users) along with financial and investor information.
The site has been specifically developed for ease of use and navigation by a range of users both among construction related markets and those seeking careers within them. Fittingly for a company that offers services that include the provision of advice on the Disability Discrimination Act, the design has been developed to include a wide range of features that assist disabled site visitors.
These include the option to view a large font text only version, with images replaced by explanatory text. Text is left aligned to assist readability for dyslexic visitors. The user can specify foreground and background colours and green and red/pink combinations have been avoided to help reduce any problems which might be encountered by those who are colour blind.
The site has been designed for Faithful+Gould by web specialists Mercurytide, winners of the Leonard Cheshire Scotland Business Award 2004 for its work on promoting equality and inclusion for disabled customers and staff.
