The Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is dedicated to providing specialist palliative care and support to adult patients and their friends, families and carers. The charity has provided care free of charge over the last 30 years throughout the Cambridgeshire area; during this time there has been an increase in demand for its services which has led to many of the facilities being no longer fit for purpose.
In late 2013 the Hospice received the go ahead to build a new facility on the southern outskirts of the city of Cambridge on its preferred site at Shelford Bottom, a green and leafy location with good transport access.
Faithful+Gould was appointed in 2014 to provide cost management services on the project which will accommodate the range of care facilities planned and required for the future, including a specialist IP unit, day therapy, support accommodation, office space and external & landscaped facilities.
Faithful+Gould is working closely with the client and project manager to maintain the budget and project programme in order for the Hospice to open its doors to patients in Autumn 2016.
