The Cargo Building – 5-9 Grayson Street, Liverpool

The Faithful+Gould Birmingham building surveying team was appointed as part of an ongoing relationship with Vista UK Residential to provide technical due diligence during the pre and post contract phases of The Cargo Building project. This £35 million PRS development consists of 324 one, two and three bedroom apartments situated within three blocks. The development provides contemporary and desirable accomodation in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool City Centre, adjacent to the historic Albert Dock.

Faithful+Gould reviewed the design & specification, assessed the suitability of the scheme against the client's brief and by undertaking frequent site inspections, ensured that the required quality standards were met, reporting to Vista on a monthly basis. The scheme was developed by Promenade Investments and constructed by Balfour Beatty plc.

The Birmingham team successfully met the client’s brief and achieved practical completion for the development in July 2017. As a result of our work, the standard of accommodation is exceptional and lettings are being secured ahead of the anticipated programme. Vista now has a very desireable residential development in an affluent area in one of the UK's largest cities, thus resulting in a potentially high return on their investment in the project.
