Manchester City Council - Condition Surveys and Asset Information Modelling

Manchester City Council appointed Faithful+Gould to review its property portfolio to enable them to understand the current condition of the estate, identify immediate repair needs and detail the forward life cycle and maintenance demands.
The proactive management of Manchester City Council’s property portfolio is challenging due to the age, size and diversity of the estate and the level of capital funding available for the planned maintenance of buildings.

Deploying a digital approach to asset information modelling, including full measured, building and M&E condition surveys, allows Manchester City Council to set up a long term, proactively managed investment programme, underpinned by the robust building condition data.

The project included development of Manchester City Council's computer-aided facility management (CAFM) systems to handle the asset data, aligning with the goal of proactive long term estate management.
