Designed by Newground Architects, owned by HUB Group, the Material Store consists of 4 residential blocks housing 189 apartments for rent including 26 triplex apartments (one apartment split across three floors), a large underground basement car park and shared amenity space at both first floor podium and roof levels. These will be the first triplex apartments to rent in the UK. Additional facilities include walled roof terrace gardens, resident party room, an external bar, bbq area and shared external communal space at first floor podium level. Once completed, the Material Store will be managed by PRS operator Fizzy Living. Works started on site early 2016 and is due for completion in Autumn 2017.
The Material Store is one of two sites owned by Hub Group at the Old Vinyl Factory, the other being Boiler House. Designed by Studio Egret West, the Boiler House is a residential development consisting of 54 units with a ground level retail area and roof gardens.
The Boiler House is currently the largest development in London using a Cross Laminated Timber Frame (CLT) structure. It will have a sloping facade clad in stainless steel shingles fixed to the CLT structure. Works started on site early October 2016 and is due for completion in Autumn 2017.
We are currently delivering quantity surveying and employers agent services through to project completion on both sites.
