Faithful+Gould is delivering 279 serviced apartments for a development by Canary Wharf Group (CWG) and Edyn as part of the new Wood Wharf development at Canary Wharf bringing work and social life together.
The building comprises retail and amenity space at the lower levels, reception, co-working and meeting facilities at ground floor with 17 storeys of volumetric modular serviced apartments above. This is topped off with a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Blackwall Basin.
The building will be delivered using a fully volumetric modular construction route and will be the first modular building on the Canary Wharf estate. By manufacturing the apartment rooms off-site, CWG and Edyn can benefit from a reduced on-site programme whilst maintaining the high quality expected for each apartment.
A clear procurement strategy has been essential for the modular building, and our knowledge and engagement with modular suppliers has been essential to inform and advise the client on procuring the modular component; and executing the procurement process smoothly and efficiently.
