Winner of the BCO 2015 Award for Commercial Workspace, One St Peter's Square is a high profile, commercial project located in the heart of Manchester's City centre. Previously known as Elizabeth House, the development by Joint Venture team of Argent and Greater Manchester Pension Venture Fund has brought back to life this 14 storey building to a best in class 300,000sqft commercial office and associated retail and lesiure space.
The £50 million revamp of One St Peter’s Square is part of a wider redevelopment plan of the area which posed a challenge in the design of the building. The team worked hard to ensure the design was sympathetic to neighbouring buildings such as the The Town Hall, Midland Hotel and the Central Library whilst meeting its objective of becoming a large scale, high quality, Grade A commercial building with a BREEAM Excellent rating, which would attract tenants. The scheme incorporates a vibrant mix of uses at ground floor level as well as a stunning reception area with an office floor plate of over 22,000ft2.
Faithful+Gould was involved from feasibility through to completion, providing developers representative, cost consultancy and employers representative advice and in particular expert advice during anchor tenant agreement for lease negotiation and subsequent CAT A/B negotiations.
