The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) continue to utilise Faithful+Gould as an expert to develop their guidance documentation. In this instance, Faithful+Gould acted as a technical writer for the development of industry standard guidelines for measurement of maintenance works and for the Lifecycle costing of maintenance.
Faithful+Gould worked with consultative groups, establishing requirements and drafting documentation for further review, working to define:
- What constitutes maintenance costs
- Setting functional minimum maintenance standards
- Understanding the impact of funding and not finding maintenance
The outputs form this were used to create a set of standards that are now utilised within the Facilities Management market.
