Faithful+Gould is providing employers agent, quantity surveying, cost management, CDM-coordinator, and BREEAM services for this £1 Billion flagship regeneration scheme in redeveloping the Former MG Rover works at Longbridge, Birmingham.
The regeneration of the 468 acre site is expected to take approximately 15 years, to create a welcoming new environment, of 'Live, Work Play'. The development will also offer an abundance of public open space and public realm. The work includes: employers agent, quantity surveying and CDM-coordinator services for the extensive infrastructure, remediation, and demolition works and for the overall masterplanning of the Longbridge Town Centre development.
Works include 100,000ft2 of offices, an Innovation Centre, £5m Youth Facility for Birmingham Youth Services, the new £66m 250,000ft2 Bourneville College campus which opened in 2011, and a £70m Town Centre incorporating J Sainsbury, Premier Inn and Greene King, phase 1 of which was completed in August 2013.
In addition Faithful+Gould are providing tenant management services on behalf of St Modwen, in respect of fit out works being undertaken by their tenants. The regeneration of Longbridge aspires to create 10,000 jobs through a diverse range of industries, together with 2000 new homes, the new town centre, parks and public open spaces.
