Through GPS Buying Solutions Framework, Faithful+Gould was appointed as lead consultant and project manager for the development of The Centre for Transitional and Interdisciplinary Research (CTIR) building on behalf of the University of Dundee.
The development involved the construction of a 4-storey research facility with flexible design and layout. As part of the specification, the new building was to be linked to the existing building at all levels to create an integrated facility. Uniquely, artwork composed of large anodised aluminimum cladding panels were incorporated around the buildings façade. The work of art entitled 'Scales of Life' represents four physical scales at which the College's life scientists work.
The College enjoys a reputation as one of the most dynamic international centres for molecular cell biology, with outstanding laboratory and technology facilities for fundamental research and translation.
