These location indices calculated for North America are current as of January 2017. The factors are derived using industry and market recognized data. Indices are weighted to common labor/material splits and adjusted based on application within historical project data sets with known costs.
All factors reflect Washington, D.C. being 100.0. The second figure depicts escalation for the calendar year 2016, and the third figure depicts escalation for the calendar year 2015 within each location.
The indices are a relative representation of varying locations and economies. Actual costs are dependent on unique project characteristics. A project with a higher labor to material ratio will have a different index than its counterpart. Application of an index to a particular project requires specific analysis by one of our technical staff.
