Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort to Become World Leading Conservation Resort

Jenny Malem
Work has started on the 10 year redevelopment of the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort.

Work has begun on developing the largest wildlife park in the Middle East, the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort, into a world leading commercially and environmentally sustainable resort.

'Deserts of the world' is the theme of the entire development, which will feature many species from around the globe, ranging in size from termites to elephants.

There are also plans to construct:

  • more than 1,000 residential villas,
  • two hotels,
  • 160 resort villas, and
  • mixed use commercial, retail and recreational spaces.

We are providing cost management and estimating services for the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort.

The Commercial team is working closely with an experienced, multi-national team of design and program management consultants to deliver estimates for each area.

Darren Bellew, Project Director, says "'Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort is the beneficiary of a rare, clear vision of how the environment, people and wildlife can co-exist in a sustainable and viable manner. One of the unique features and qualities of the project is the fact that investors and residents will directly contribute to and be part of supporting wildlife conservation efforts and community development in the UAE and abroad".

Some limited enabling works have already commenced, with the infrastructure and initial construction packages expected to commence later this year.

The overall completion of the development is expected to take 10 years.
