Project and cost management consultancy Faithful+Gould has appointed David Pick to the newly-created strategic post of head of regeneration. Based at the company’s Nottingham office, he will head a nationwide team of senior executives developing and delivering services to the urban regeneration sector.
David joins Faithful+Gould from WS Atkins asset management where he was operations director for a team of more than 250 people.
He started his career with Faithful+Gould in 1984 as a surveyor at the Nottingham office and became associate partner and director there. In 1996 he moved to head the company’s Birmingham office until 1999 when he joined WS Atkins.
David commented, "Faithful+Gould is working at the forefront of the UK’s regeneration activity and has a tremendous insight into what matters to local people, how to attract funding to make schemes financially viable, how to maximise urban assets and how to get the design and quality right – as well as many other issues that affect everyday life. Our track record includes significant involvement in major schemes such as Sunderland arc and Birmingham’s Brindleyplace, and we plan to develop our regeneration team to provide an even more effective service in future."
