Faithful+Gould Celebrate Continued Growth in the Automotive Sector

Laura Okell
Faithful+Gould has been selected to provide project management services for the construction of a 795,000-square-foot paint shop at the Volvo facility, currently underway in Ridgeville, South Carolina.

Volvo broke ground on the facility, its first auto manufacturing plant in North America, in September 2015. Faithful+Gould will serve as a consultant to The Eisenmann Corporation, which has a turnkey contract to design and build the paint facility. Based out of Germany, Eisenmann develops and builds custom manufacturing, assembly and logistics plants and is a leading global industrial solutions provider for surface finishing, material flow automation, environmental engineering and thermal process technology. Faithful+Gould will serve as Eisenmann’s representative for the building scope, providing design coordination and oversight of the contractor, Gray Construction.

"South Carolina has been working hard to attract manufacturers, and this Volvo facility will have a positive economic impact on the state."

Ted O'Keeffe, Faithful+Gould Program Director

Our team is well suited to complete this work having previously completed a 500,000-square-foot paint shop renovation and expansion at the BMW facility in Greer, South Carolina.

It was this work with BMW and our reputation of excellent delivery that led Eisenman to Faithful+Gould. That project was supported by Ted O’Keeffe, program director, and Alan Appleby, project manager; the same team that will lead this project.

Ted commented: "This is a notable win for Faithful+Gould, not only in gaining a new client in Eisenmann, but also getting the opportunity to work on the Volvo site. South Carolina has been working hard to attract manufacturers, and this Volvo facility will have a positive economic impact on the state. It was particularly rewarding to hear that the opportunity was based on a recommendation from one of our long-standing clients, BMW."

Faithful+Gould has worked with BMW for more than 20 years. In that time, the manufacturing and automotive team have produced exceptional work for the client, demonstrating Faithful+Gould's consistent expertise in project delivery. This dedication has enhanced the firm's profile in the automotive sector and specifically led to this win. Our team are excited to continue this growth with Eisenmann on this latest venture.
