Faithful+Gould Lives on the Coca-Cola Side of Life

Faithful+Gould got to ‘live on the Coca-Cola side of life’ as the drinks company publicly thanked the project and cost management consultant for their work on the famous ‘Coca-Cola’ sign at Piccadilly Circus.

Coca-Cola Great Britain thanked consultants Faithful+Gould, Sedley Place and DisplayLED on Sunday 30 September for their involvement in the upgrade of the LED sign, with a purpose made thank you message on the Piccadilly sign.

Faithful+Gould started their role as project managers in April 2005 to upgrade the sign’s hardware and software systems. The project involved a complete overhaul of the front of the sign, with work being delicately carried out from a purpose-built gantry structure suspended over the front of the sign.

Now complete, the sign is considerably brighter and has new improved functionality, which means that it can be controlled remotely.

David Holmes, the director responsible for the project, comments, "It is certainly a fun and innovative way for Coca-Cola Great Britain to thank us for our contribution of the refurbishment of their Piccadilly sign. The geography and technical complexity of the project presented us with some significant challenges."
