Faithful+Gould is attending Oracle’s worldwide user conference in San Francisco as part of an exciting global partnership with Oracle to co-develop innovative, industry leading solutions that deliver value and optimise results. We will be represented by staff from our Americas and UK & Europe regions, and supported by Richard Cross, Atkins Group CIO, and Paul Wood, managing director for the Americas. During the conference we will be engaging with senior level Oracle staff to showcase Faithful+Gould and identify ways in which we can work together to develop the partnership even further.
A market leading partnership
Oracle is a leading multi-national IT company whose portfolio includes the Primavera suite of best-in-class Project and Programme Management solutions.
We recognise the value offered by a robust project and programme management solution and following extensive research and analysis we have partnered with Oracle Primavera, in recognition of their status as a provider of versatile and effective market leading systems.
Over the last 10 years we have supported over 30 clients operating in a wide range of sectors, including Energy, Manufacturing and Financial Services, to optimise their Primavera portfolio.
In 2013 we became an Oracle Gold Partner and cemented our position as one of Primavera’s leading partners for deploying Unifier based solutions for clients.
In addition to this we are now pioneering an enhanced service solution which combines Oracle Primavera’s best in class software applications and Faithful+Gould’s world class service delivery, enabling us to offer our clients the best possible results on their projects.
What makes this partnership unique?
Clients expect expertise, and our ability to work in partnership with Oracle, finding better ways to get things done enhances the value received by our clients. At Faithful+Gould this is what we call our ‘Constructive Expertise. It involves combining positive thinking with our problem solving capability and integrated approach.
Our unique ability to integrate our worldwide core services combined with extensive experience with the Unifier system, means Faithful+Gould are one of Primavera’s leading partners for designing and deploying Unifier based solutions for clients.’
Sector-specific Project & Programme Management Solutions
When clients procure project and programme management services, they expect the provider to mobilise efficiently and effectively, as any delay can impact on the overall delivery of their project or programme.
Increasingly, clients are specifying that the successful tenderer will provide a robust information management system to support service delivery. This can often result in compromise when it comes to implementing truly effective and collaborative information and delivery systems as these can take time to set up and configure.
The solutions we are creating in partnership with Oracle provide Faithful+Gould with an innovative, robust and transparent way to deliver our services. Furthermore, they can be deployed rapidly to minimise the impact on mobilisation.
We recognise that not every sector, or every client, approaches project and programme management in the same manner. To ensure that we can best meet our clients’ requirements, we are developing a series of sector and contract specific solutions that will enable us to deploy the most appropriate solution for the service opportunity.
Two great examples of partnership success include bespoke NEC3 and eSAM solutions:
The NEC3 suite of contracts are in global use across a wide variety of sectors, including infrastructure, oil & gas, utilities and education, and is growing in popularity. The Hong Kong government has recently announced that it will use NEC3 contracts for all projects put out for tender in 2015/16. Furthermore Crossrail, Europe's largest construction project, with an estimated value of £14.5bn, is being procured using NEC3 contracts.
In conjunction with our work for Scottish Enterprise on the Cockenzie Marine Energy Park, we have developed an NEC3 compliant Project and Programme Management delivery solution. This incorporates many of the key NEC3 processes, such as:
- Early Warnings
- Notifications of Compensation Events
- Requests for Information
- Requests for Quotations
- Contract Communications
As well as support for the use of X clauses, such as X3, X14, X16, X17 & X20.
Elsewhere, we have also been working with our in-house Strategic Facility Consulting business to develop an electronic Strategic Asset Management solution (eSAM). Having project and asset information within a single system allows our clients to make proactive decisions, with the transparency to closely manage assets from design through to transition to operations and decommissioning.
eSAM is a flexible, scalable solution which we can tailor to our clients’ needs. You can:
- Perform condition assessment and analysis
- Record and access building and asset data through a tablet or smart phone, even without internet connectivity
- Forecast asset expenditure
- Plan preventative maintenance
- Optimise space and energy usage
- Perform all project management tasks, including costs, schedule, resources, contracts, documents and more
Developing NEC3 and eSAM demonstrates our commitment to meeting our clients’ needs by developing innovative solutions to help our clients deliver more efficiently and with added assurance. We are committed to continuing this development for additional sectors, and encourage you to contact us to find out more about our future plans.
