Faithful+Gould is committed to providing our clients with a world-class quality of service and has a long track record of working with University of York on various projects over more than 10 years.
Shortlisted as Client of the Year, the University of York have created innovative solutions in the delivery of a world-class teaching environment for future generations.
The University’s strong leadership and focus on modernisation has continued to enhance the student experience whilst utilising the latest technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and sustainability initiatives such as BREEAM. Our collaboration and innovative ways of working have impacted the successful delivery of many projects, including the recently shortlisted Hull York Medical School (HYMS). As part of a direct response to a growing shortage of doctors within the UK, this facility has delivered an outstanding medical training facility and created an additional 90 places to the HYMS for the Yorkshire Region.
Coupled with an emphasis on sustainability and our aspirations for delivering a unique development, it has not only generated social value outcomes of a £14.7m injection within the local economy but also a significant reduction in water use and carbon emission.
Phil Davies, Regional Director at Faithful+Gould commented:
