Recognising the future leaders of the industry, Constructing Excellence's G4C North East Awards showcase the best of emerging talent and Faithful+Gould, member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, is proud to have two of its fantastic young professionals shortlisted this year; Aaran Pearson for Apprentice of the Year and Jonny Frank for G4C Future Leader.
Since starting his apprenticeship at Faithful+Gould in 2017, Aaran impressed the business with his strong work ethic and has worked with many of the office’s key regional clients, assisting its cost management professionals on major projects such as the award-winning Northern Spire, all whilst undertaking his BSc in Quantity Surveying.
Faithful+Gould’s commitment to his personal and professional development includes supporting his involvement in the wider construction industry too. Aaran said: “Through initiatives such as G4C and RICS Matrics, I have had the opportunity to use these platforms to promote the built environment in a positive light and attract further people to the industry. I’m very proud to have been recognised for the work I’ve done so far, and I’m excited for my future with Faithful+Gould.”
Starting as a placement student at Faithful+Gould, Jonny has rapidly and deservedly progressed to Quantity Surveyor; this is mainly due to his relentless drive and enthusiasm. From initiating ‘Lean Team Meetings’ to encourage collaboration across key national projects for Highways England, through to his commitment to raising aspirations of young people via his STEM Ambassador role, he has an outstanding ability to positively impact behaviours.
Jonny said: “I believe collaboration is key to achieving positive change, and I’m dedicated to partnering and building relationships across the organisation, community and wider industry to accomplish this. Faithful+Gould has supported me throughout, including my role as co-chair of G4C Tees Valley, which is demonstrative of its commitment to developing people both personally and professionally.”
As a leading integrated project and programme management consultancy, Faithful+Gould offers diverse opportunities to gain experience and qualifications within the construction industry through its apprenticeship and graduate schemes. Working on some of the most prestigious, innovative and demanding construction projects across the UK allows Faithful+Gould’s young professionals to help positively transform the regions they live, work and play.
David Gardner, Stockton Office Director, said: “Both Aaran and Jonny have an unwavering willingness and enthusiasm to learn, which is representative of all our young professionals in the Stockton Office and beyond – they care because one day, I have no doubt, they’ll be managing the outcomes of today’s decisions. I’m delighted that they have been shortlisted for these esteemed awards.”
Nick Gray, Managing Director for Faithful+Gould’s North+Ireland region, said: “Faithful+Gould’s success is built on hiring, training, developing and retaining the very best people, and Aaran and Jonny are testament to that ethos, representing the incredible young professionals we have within our business.
