This $34 million project involves construction of a new 40,000-square-foot addition to supplement the hospital’s cancer treatment services with radiation therapy and expanded infusion therapy capabilities.
The new addition will include an outpatient chemotherapy infusion center, and it will replace six aging operating rooms (ORs) with state-of-the-art, all-purpose ORs. The pavilion will allow the hospital to offer patients a full circle of integrated cancer treatment, and for the first time in the hospital’s history it will make radiation services available on campus. Lawrence Hospital’s goal on this project is to develop a fully integrated and comprehensive cancer care center, close to the community and focused on the patient.
For the first time in the hospital’s history it will make radiation services available on campus.
Since 2010, Faithful+Gould has provided full project management, cost estimating and scheduling on this project throughout the design and approvals stages. During construction, our team will provide oversight of the developer/contractor team, in addition to tracking and managing project costs and coordinating construction activities with ongoing hospital operations. Construction of the project is expected to take 24 months, with an anticipated completion in mid-2015.
The Surgery and Oncology Pavilion will add to Faithful+Gould’s quickly growing portfolio of healthcare projects. Over the past ten years, our firm has provided a range of project and cost management services for New York Presbyterian Hospital, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and other premier healthcare clients throughout the Northeast.

Chris Eattock, lead project manager, commented, "It’s always gratifying when a project enters construction, but it’s especially rewarding when the client is as community-focused as Lawrence Hospital. Over the past three years Faithful+Gould has enjoyed helping the hospital develop its vision of a truly holistic oncology care center, and we look forward to helping turn that vision into a reality."
