One of the world’s largest project and cost consultants, Faithful+Gould, has moved to Colchester. The company, which is part of the Atkins Group, has established an office in the town as part of its continuing expansion programme. Approximately 20 staff will be based at Colchester which becomes one of 26 company offices around the country.
The consultancy provides a broad range of master planning, commercial, surveying, risk management and project management services. It works on major schemes in the transport, property and industry markets, advising many of the most familiar and respected national and international client organisations. Developments with which it is associated include the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Heathrow Terminal 5, HM Treasury, Lea Valley regeneration and the Olympic bid 2012 , the iconic Selfridges store in Birmingham and The Freedom Tower, being built on the site of Ground Zero in New York, as well as many health and education sector schemes.
John Wood, director responsible for the Colchester office commented: "We have moved to Colchester following a 10 year period based in Chelmsford and will operate from the same premises as sister company Atkins Design Environment and Engineering. The move reflects continuing growth in our client base both in the UK and internationally, where we are active in Europe, the Middle and Far East and the USA."
