ABN AMRO One Raffles Quay Fit-out

ABN AMRO is one of the three largest banks in the Netherlands, serving retail, private and commercial banking clients, and is active internationally in private banking and a number of global specialist activities. The bank is headquartered in Amsterdam and operates in 22 countries worldwide, including two offices in Singapore that currently house the bank’s private banking, corporate banking and securities clearing businesses.

To consolidate their business operations into a single facility, ABN AMRO resolved to relocate their Ocean Financial Centre (OFC) operations into their existing two-level premises at One Raffles Quay (ORQ). Banking on our excellent track record of office fit-out and relocation projects in the finance sector, we secured the role to lead the project from initial planning through to handover.

The project entails fitting out an entire floor at ORQ L26 (32,000sqft) to accommodate the incoming OFC staff, and simultaneously, densifying the existing ORQ L25 office space of 32,000sqft. It also involves the refresh of their current ORQ reception and client meeting suite to a more contemporary corporate image as well as improving inter-floor connectivity by constructing an internal staircase.

Additionally, the client aims to de-link its power and air conditioning service dependencies from RBS that is currently supporting ABN AMRO’s operations in ORQ. The challenge of this project involves complex phased works, critical environment and structural works which will be carried out within a live working environment.

René Hillig, director for project management in Singapore, comments: "We are delighted to be working with ABN AMRO and look forward to building a business relationship that spans many years like many of our other clients. Winning this project adds to our stable of finance sector clients, which further strengthens our reputation as being one of the leading project management consultancies in the CRE/finance sector."

Through regular discussions with the client, Faithful+Gould was able to fully appreciate and address their requirements. We provided support in forming the overall project team structure and guidance in selecting the appropriate procurement route to ensure a successful outcome. We are also assisting in the planning and execution of move management.
