Faithful+Gould provided cost management, cost consultancy and cost estimating services on the plus build-out of a major trading floor in downtown Chicago. Our Faithful+Gould team worked closely with the architect, construction manager and owner to develop and ensure budgets and schedules were met throughout design and construction.
The space is comprised of 250,000 square feet accommodating 588 trading desks and 1,000 staff more than 4 floors and an interstitial space. The floor break-down is 40,000 square feet to trading floor and 210,000 square feet to offices, conference rooms, huddle spaces and support areas (recreation/dining/leisure). Additional spaces include 93 conference rooms, executive offices and a full kitchen and café. The new space brings together 3 teams that were previously spread across multiple sites. This project was completed within budget and three months ahead of schedule and is the largest LEED-CI (Commercial Interiors) project in the Midwest to achieve LEEDTM Platinum Status.
