In 2002, Faithful+Gould and our parent company, Atkins, were appointed via OJEU to provide a comprehensive asset management service to Derbyshire County Council (DCC). Services included property management, property design and property review. In 2008 we celebrated our 6 year anniversary with DCC following an extension of the framework. We are continuing to act as consulting partner with the local authority.
Throughout the framework, we have worked on over 400 projects. All have been delivered successfully, but were not without their challenges. We are providing building surveying services on a regional basis - delivering asset management, asset surveys and minor works maintenance schemes. Together, Faithful+Gould and Atkins have provided an integrated team to enable a full range of capital design services to be provided for refurbishment schemes and new-build developments. The unique combination of effective cost management (Faithful+Gould) and integrated design (Atkins) ensures continuous value engineering to maximise the design outputs within strict budget, quality, time and cost parameters.
Service delivery included strategic property reviews, valuation, planning, property rating, development, and agency skills, together with acquisition, appraisal and marketing advice. Specialist services are also provided to DCC including advice regarding: Fire risk assessments, the Disability Discrimination Act, Public Private Partnership (PPP), Public Finance Initiative (PFI) developments, the Building Schools for the Future programme. Schemes undertaken for Derbyshire County Council include: Glossopdale Community College, Hasland Junior School, Marlpool Junior School, Morley Primary School and Brookfield Community Centre.
