Faithful+Gould CSR Programme in Singapore

In July 2014, Faithful+Gould Singapore launched its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, which focuses on providing basic goods and services to the underprivileged children in the community. Our CSR programme operates on the premise of partnering with at least one children’s organisation in need (Special Causes Charity, orphanages, care providers, schools, etc.) and identifying their requirements on a quarterly basis.

The programme kicked off with its first initiative, the Back to Basics donation drive for the Infant Jesus Homes and Children’s Centre. The success of which was greatly attributed to the overwhelming response from our colleagues.

IJHCC provides residential care, school-based and community-based programmes to children, below 12 years old from various challenging family backgrounds. The Centre provides learning support in a caring and guided environment so children have a safe place to go to before and after school. Besides the children, the Centre also continues to care for four elderly ladies, who have been residing at the Gate of Hope at the old IJ Convent (now Chijmes) in Victoria Street since they were born. The CSR committee collaborated with IJHCC and identified essentials on their wish list, which were fulfilled through the outpouring of support from the Faithful+Gould team.

On 1st August, representatives visited IJHCC with the collection and spent the day entertaining the children and elderly ladies. This is only the first of many opportunities for us to reach out to the people in need and we look forward to giving back to the community through many more initiatives.
