Liberty Global is the world’s largest international TV and broadband company with operations in more than 30 countries across Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, providing market -leading products via next generation networks to over 25 million customers.
The client required additional office space and took the lease on the 2nd floor of Griffin House where they already occupied the ground, first and third floors. The existing low - quality finishes and fittings and inadequate services system were stripped out and replaced with a high – quality fit-out scheme.
Faithful+Gould were procured by the client to provide project management, cost management, move management and health and safety advisor services. Our appointment was made at the same time as the main contractor with the aim of both parties working collaboratively to develop a cost plan, approve a works programme, agree a contract price and deliver the project. We also took over responsibility for the client’s direct contractors undertaking furniture and IT/AV design and supply in order to integrate them into the overall project programme.
Project challenges included:
- Rapid project programme from outline design to completion/ handover
- The need to obtain Landlord’s Consent whilst maintaining programme momentum
- Undertaking construction works whilst minimising noisy works within the middle floor of an occupied building
- Constrained access to the 2nd floor site
Our Move Manager was responsible for organising and co-ordinating the relocation of staff from several different locations and worked closely with the client’s ‘Move Champions’, members of the client’s respective teams, who were selected to represent staff and assist with the co-ordination and cascade of the information concerning the details of the ‘move day’ itself.
The project was completed on time and within budget.
