The building was conceptually designed by Associated Architects and detailed design developed by Broadway Malyan following an OJEU selection process. Built in the centre of the University’s campus, significant logistical challenges required careful planning and a stringent health and safety methodology was put in place to protect staff, students and visitors, ensuring the two year build programme had minimal impact of the day to day life of the student and running of the campus.

The building was officially opened by Sir Steve Redgrave on 11th October 2016 and continues Faithful+Gould’s long running relationship of supporting Loughborough University in successfully delivering world class facilities.
