New Salalah Airport - Oman

This project will include the development of a new passenger terminal covering an area of 71,000 m², increasing capacity from 400,000 to one million passengers per annum. A new 4km-long runway will enable the airport to accommodate the Airbus A380, the largest civilian aircraft currently in operation. In addition, a cargo terminal capable of handling up to 100,000 tons of air freight per year will be built.

We have been appointed by the development, design and construction contractor, Larson and Toubro, to provide contract administration services. We will be responsible for reviewing contract documents including the drawings, specification, general and particular conditions, scope of work documents, programme, deliverables etc – to ensure each project team member’s scope of work is clearly identified. Any gaps and/or scope changes will be flagged up and immediately reported to the client for a decision. We will help Larson and Toubro to clarify their contracted scope of works to the overall client, highlighting gaps and supporting a seamless communication so the contractor can deliver the project within time, cost and quality objectives.
