This £700m redevelopment scheme in the city centre of Birmingham comprises up to ten new buildings including Grade A offices and a 250 bed hotel built over a two-level basement car park.
Part of the ‘Big City Plan’, the regeneration of the former Paradise Circus involves a major change to the infrastructure around the site including highways realignment and utilities diversions, the incorporation of tram lines for the new Midland Metro system and the demolition of a number of buildings including the old Birmingham Central Library.
The project includes extensive public realm including new public squares which will link the commercial quarter of the city centre with the new Library of Birmingham, International Convention Centre and Brindleyplace.
Faithful+Gould has been successfully appointed for the first of the three phases of Paradise, providing employer’s agent and quantity surveying services on the basement car park and podium, highways realignment and the first two Grade A office buildings. These comprise a total 350,000ft2 nett lettable space together with premium ground floor retail and restaurant accommodation.
