The Wyeth ‘Singapore 2000’ project comprised two independent greenfield facilities from separate business streams within the company: A two dryer infant nutritional manufacturing facility of 45,000m², and a pharmaceutical hormone replacement tablet processing and packaging facility of approximately 27,000m². Both projects were designed with expansion capability and include associated administration buildings, laboratories and infrastructure works.
A range of project controls services were provided to the client that comprised: Estimate validation, cost management, scheduling management, asset register development, project management and project administration support services. Both projects were executed concurrently and were let as one package to a single EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) contractor. The projects were successfully completed on time and within budget in late 2001.
